VISIT LINDEN TENNESSEE FOR 2019’s “NOSTALGIC CHRISTMAS VILLAGE”

Locally Made “Uptown” Gifts at Small Town Prices

Main Street Marketplace

Linden, Tenn. Each Saturday beginning Nov. 30 through Dec. 21, the charming small town of Linden, Tenn. will host “Nostalgic Christmas Village Shopping.”

Local merchants are providing special holiday discounts, extended shopping hours, children’s craft activities, artist’s demonstrations, and a punch-card campaign with significant giveaways including a Big Green Egg Grill, a night at the Commodore Hotel and $50 gift cards to local shops.

Featuring “uptown gifts at small town prices,” Linden offers holiday cheer with more than 30 unique artisans showcased at Main Street Marketplace and Buffalo River Artisans, including potters, weavers, jewelry, candle and home décor artisans, along with makers
homemade, small batch jams, fudge and other Christmas treats.

Linden has experienced a resurgence in their arts community recently, with many makers moving to town from other states, citing Linden’s quaint, small town atmosphere and the sincere friendliness of the local community.

Beyond the robust arts community, visitors will find popular boutique and gift shopping at Dimples, Sparkey & Ringo’s, Custom Creations Jewelers, and the Frame Shop. The local Duncan’s Ace Hardware will offer discounts storewide, and will highlight their section of greeting cards, ornaments and gifts from Hallmark.

Anchoring the entire experience is the Historic Commodore Hotel & Music Café, bringing cheer with Christmas Afternoon Tea & Fashion Show each Saturday throughout the season.

“This is an opportunity for visitors to enjoy a leisure day of shopping in one of America’s most charming small towns,” said Kathy Dumont, proprietor (with husband Michael) of the Commodore Hotel & Music Café. “I find unique, creative gifts at a fraction of the cost found in larger cities. Best of all, it’s a peaceful experience, away from crowded malls and a relief from what for many can be a hectic, overwhelming season.”

Less than 90 minutes from Nashville, and 2.5 hours from Memphis, Linden is the perfect trip for locals and guests to enjoy for a day or a peaceful weekend getaway, especially during the holiday season.
