The infectious hype-anthem, All or Nothing, features Grammy-nominated session bassist Jamaal Andrews (Donnie McClurkin, T.I, William McDowell) and draws listeners in with punchy bass melodies and cut-throat lyrics. Inspired and self-penned based on a series of misfortunes and family trauma, All or Nothing captures the journey to one’s dream and the blood, sweat and tears it takes to get there.
“After a series of disappointments, seeing my father imprisoned, home evictions, chasing my dreams started to feel like a fever dream,” says Ava. “One day, I had an epiphany and realized that I had misplaced my self-confidence. I had accidentally become frozen in my trauma. It made me so sad that I wrote a song about it. Eventually, it spun into a hype-anthem, pick yourself back up song. I hope All or Nothing encourages listeners to push themselves beyond their perceived limits.”
All Or Nothing is the lead track off of her upcoming and highly anticipated EP, “Where Angels Go To Cry,” which features more tracks penned and co-produced by Ava. About Ava
Ava was born on the island of Grand Bahama, known as “The Magic City” of The Bahamas. In her early childhood, she gravitated towards performing and felt a natural fit in music, art, and production.
Frequently playing leading roles in her high schools’ musical productions, Ava eventually began experimenting with writing and composing music. Her first demo, recorded at the age of twelve, “Puzzle of Love,” gained the attention of International Superstar Recording artist Flo Rida in 2015 and landed her a recording deal under his label, International Music Group.
In 2016, Ava stepped away from the industry and made a significant decision to further her music education at Troy University in Troy, Alabama, studying Classical Voice, Performance, Music Production, and Marketing. The multi-instrumentalist and independent recording artist mixes pop, rap, urban hip-hop, and R&B genres in a sonic pallet available for display in her forthcoming collection of releases.
Ava currently splits her time between The Bahamas and Nashville, Tennessee, producing and recording the songs off her upcoming EP.
