Your Best Summer Yet Starts at Two Rivers Mansion: Tours, Movies Under the Stars, Live Music, and More

Friends of Two Rivers, the nonprofit organization dedicated to the restoration and preservation of Two Rivers Mansion and Stone Hall, officially kicks off its summer season today with a full calendar of community events running through October. From guided historic tours to free outdoor concerts and after-dark paranormal adventures, there is something for every Nashvillian at one of the city’s most treasured historic landmarks.

“Friends of Two Rivers has been preparing for an exciting summer season for a long time and we’re thrilled it’s finally here,” said Jeff Syracuse, President of Friends of Two Rivers. “From an expanded and enhanced historic guided tour season through the end of October, to our new Movies at the Mansion series and four more Music at the Mansion events, there will be something for the whole family. We have big plans ahead and are preparing for future significant preservation initiatives, so everyone’s support of our events plays a big part in our success. We look forward to seeing you soon!”

Two Rivers Mansion, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is a beautifully preserved 1859 antebellum mansion situated on rolling land between the Stones and Cumberland rivers just outside of downtown Nashville. Spirit of Two Rivers Historic Tours — Now Open Through October 28

The 2026 tour season is now underway. Dubbed “Spirit of Two Rivers Historic Tours,” the expanded guided tour program runs June 1 through October 28, 2026. Tours are offered Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 11 a.m., and noon. Educational programs are designed to spark curiosity, connect visitors with Nashville’s rich local history, and give guests a hands-on experience with the past.

Movies at the Mansion — Family Fun Under the Stars

Grab the kids and head to the lawn — the brand-new Movies at the Mansion series, proudly presented by sponsor Two Rivers Ford, launches this week and promises a summer full of family fun in one of Nashville’s most magical settings. The series opens Friday, June 5, with a screening of the family film David, running 5:30 to 10:00 p.m. Tickets are just $10. Arrive early to enjoy food trucks, yard games, and popcorn before the movie begins — grounds open at 5:30 p.m. and the film starts as darkness falls, making for a perfect evening under the stars.

More family-friendly screenings continue through the summer, with GOAT on Friday, August 7, and National Treasure — a fitting choice as the nation celebrates its 250th anniversary — on Friday, September 25. All Movies at the Mansion events run 5:30 to 10:00 p.m. It’s the kind of summer night the whole family will be talking about long after the credits roll.

Music at the Mansion — The Outdoor Concert Series That Plays All Season Long

The beloved Music at the Mansion series returns, and Friends of Two Rivers invites the whole family to experience live music at Two Rivers Mansion. Bring the kids, bring the neighbors, grab a lawn chair or blanket, and settle in for evenings that bring together talented performers, beautiful surroundings, and welcoming audiences for nights filled with connection, culture, and a celebration of being Music City. The 2026 Music at the Mansion series is proudly presented by Nashville International Airport (BNA).

The summer music lineup features three outstanding performances:

  • Nashville Symphony — Saturday, June 6, 2026 | 6:00–9:30 p.m. | FREE admission
  • Timbo & Lonesome Country — Saturday, August 8, 2026 | 6:00–9:30 p.m. | $10 admission
  • Two Rivers Community Orchestra — Sunday, August 30, 2026 | 3:00–6:00 p.m. | FREE admission

The series continues into fall with The Moonlighters Big Band on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 6:00 to 9:30 p.m. Admission for this event is $10 per peson. All performances take place outdoors on the mansion grounds. Tickets and additional details are available at friendsoftworivers.com.

Whispers From the Past: Paranormal Investigation Series

For those who like their history with a little mystery, the Whispers From the Past Paranormal Investigation Series offers overnight experiences running from 7:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., held one weekend per month from June through September. After Dark Tours — October 16–18

The season wraps up with After Dark Tours, October 16–18, 2026, a special evening tour experience where ghost-hunting equipment is welcome. Tickets and additional details are available at the Friends of Two Rivers website.

ABOUT FRIENDS OF TWO RIVERS

Friends of Two Rivers was established in 2010 to protect, preserve, restore, and promote the historic Two Rivers Mansion in partnership with the Metro Parks Department and the Metro Historical Commission. The organization was officially incorporated on August 20, 2010, and received 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status later that year. Since then, its mission has expanded to include the historic Stone Hall site, located on the scenic bluffs of the Stones River. Today, Friends of Two Rivers is dedicated to honoring and sharing Nashville’s rich past by preserving these treasured landmarks through community engagement, fundraising, and educational initiatives.
