“I am so happy and cannot wait to see this video air on TV,” says Bailey. “The Heartland Network will share my music with a whole new audience of all ages. I have so much fun connecting with my social media ‘friends’ as I call them and I look forward to getting to know the new ‘friends’ as we push out this album. We’ve worked on this album for over a year and I am so nervous and excited to see if others like it.”

The industry is already embracing this Pennsylvania 7th grader.

“Texas Swing is youthful, fun and innocent, with a hummable melody that tells a sweet tale of young love and a swing hanging from the weeping willow tree.”
Tara Joan
The Daily Country

“Beautiful, young and talented. I appreciate the authentic country voice.”
Victoria Devon
Anchor, WNKY TV – NBC & CBS

“So amazed at her raw talent. She’s only in the 7th grade, but she is so mature. A new LeAnn Rimes.”
Laura Rogers
Anchor, WBKO TV – ABC, FOX & CW

Bailey James, a 13-year-old rising country songstress, transports listeners of all ages to the days when folks were “swinging real slow to the radio” on her premiere single, Texas Swing. With over 70,000 fans across her social media platforms, Bailey is introducing and drawing her swiftly growing young audience to a new adaption of traditional country music merged with lyrics that connect with her fans.

“It’s country, spunky and sassy,” says Bailey. “As a teenager who loves country music, it was hard to relate to the lyrics of songs that I heard on the radio.”

Texas Swing is a throwback tune with contemporary lyrics that pays homage to the traditional side of country that was founded on hits of Patsy Cline and continues to find fans with artists like Kacey Musgraves and Brandy Clark. Bailey has established a strong fan base through her YouTube and social media profiles and has appeared at middle and elementary schools across the nation. Consequently, it comes as no coincidence that she is releasing her full EP leading into teacher appreciation week May 2nd – 6th.

“We’ve had the opportunity to perform in several schools and talk about balancing school with your interests and hoping to inspire kids my age to follow their dreams,” says Bailey. “I know that teachers and principals can be such great role models. I wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for my 6th grade teacher Mr. Neuman. He would show my videos or talk about the contests I had won in class and I became much more comfortable with this idea because of his support.”

Fans can visit giftfrombailey.com, where the debut single will be available for free and they can sign-up to stay updated on her launch into the country scene. Her full length debut album Where It All Begins features six songs, five of those were co-written by Bailey.
