The Country Network Premieres the Rachel’s Song Music Video From the “Once Upon a River” Soundtrack

Once Upon A River

Country Network premieres the music video for Rachel’s Song, a breakout selection from the “Once Upon a River” soundtrack this week starting Monday.  Distributed by Thirty Tigers, Rachel’s Song is a song written and performed by Haroula Rose, Peter Bradley and Death Cab for Cutie’s Zac Rae.

“Rachel’s Song was inspired by the idea of redemption, that just as we go through pain and sorrow, we will also know joy again,” says Haroula. “The journey of what Margo goes through in the story is also a universal theme; so, it felt like the perfect song to finish the film since it encapsulates what it’s all about.”

In addition to being a writer and performer of Rachel’s Song, Haroula also served as an executive producer of soundtrack and as the writer and director of the award winning film.  The Rachel’s Song video will air at the following times, in each viewer’s time zone, on the network this week.  Please note, the website live stream and the app are streamed in the Eastern Time Zone.

The “Once Upon a River” original motion picture soundtrack is currently available at all major online retailers.  The soundtrack includes an original score by Death Cab for Cutie’s Zac Rae along with original music from Rodney Crowell, JD Souther, Will Oldham, Bridget St. John, Fran Farley, Peter Bradley Adams, and Haroula Rose. Thirty Tigers released the full soundtrack on October 2, the same day as the film’s theatrical opening. The film, based on the best-selling novel by Bonnie Jo Campbell, centers on Margo Crane who embarks on an unexpected journey along the Stark River to find her estranged mother after her father is killed in a tragic accident. It premiered at the Bentonville Film Festival before traveling to 40 festivals worldwide, taking home 18 awards.

“’Once Upon a River’ is a living prose poem filled with beautifully framed images and featuring some of the strongest writing and acting you’ll find in any movie this year. It’s not to be missed.”
