Summer Fun Continues with Perry County’s Buffalo River Rampage

The popular Buffalo River Rampage returns to Perry County on Aug. 3, taking place on what is arguably one of the best sporting rivers in Tennessee. The Rampage is hosted by the Buffalo River Resort located at 3520 Hwy. 13 N, Lobelville, TN 37097. More than $2,000 in CASH prizes will be awarded to winning participants.

This year’s event will feature a five-mile homemade raft race, utilizing a crew of three and inner-tube flotation only. Registration for the race is 10:30 – 11:15 a.m., Aug. 3.  Start time is 12 noon at the Gilmer Bridge launch site.

Kayakers will compete in an eight-mile race on the Buffalo, ending at the Buffalo River Resort. Registration is from 9:30 – 10:15 a.m. The Kayak race kicks off at 11 a.m. Participants may bring their own or rent kayaks for a reduced fee. Transportation to the launch site will be provided by the resort.
