PLA Media Adds Recent MTSU Graduate, Ava Hundley, to the Team as Publicity & Social Media Coordinator
PLA Media is pleased to announce the addition of Louisville native, Ava Hundley, to our Nashville team. Ava will serve as a Publicity and Social Media Coordinator, assisting in the management of all social media and publicity initiatives for current and future clients. Since January 2023, Ava shadowed PLA’s senior team part time as a PR assistant before ascending to her current role.
“Ava immediately impressed me with her maturity, outgoing personality, intelligence, and quick ability to pick up and run with a project,” says PLA President, Pamela L. Lewis FRSA. “She has proven to be a good team player who is ready to learn and contribute. Welcome aboard young lady!”
Vice President Mark Logsdon adds: “As an MTSU alum, when a student comes with the endorsement of MTSU Dean Beverly Keel and Professor Melissa Wald, I expected her to excel at our firm. She even exceeded those expectations, and we were so impressed by her work ethic, knowledge and the rapport she built with our team and clients. I am honored to have another Blue Raider and Bluegrass State native as a full-time associate at PLA.”
About Ava
Born and raised in Louisville, KY, Ava Hundley graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelors of Science in the Recording Industry. Ava began her PLA Media career as a PR assistant in January 2023, which fueled her fire and passion for public relations. The recent transition to her new role as the Publicity & Social Media Coordinator has given her the opportunity to live her lifelong dream.
Ava’s interest for music and the industry traces back to her early childhood where she spent majority of her time on stage and training in the areas of dance, vocals, and musical theatre. At Assumption High School, she did some soul searching, decided it was time to spread her wings and made the move to Murfreesboro, Tennessee with the intention to complete her college career as a Music Business major and later join the forces of the music industry. Throughout her four years of college, Ava held leadership positions in Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, participated in GrammyU, joined the esteemed post-production team of CMA Fest 2022, and spent her final year in school as the Social Media Executive Chair in MTSU’s own student run record label, Match Records.
Ava’s dedication channeled towards PR/Marketing and Social Media. Honing her skills, she worked with student artists to strengthen their social media presence, build their artist brand, and initiate grassroots outreach to expand their fanbases. During this time she, also worked as a concert and headshot photographer.
“I am extremely grateful for the opportunities and knowledge PLA Media introduced me to during my internship and is currently bringing to me in my new career,” says Ava. “I wouldn’t be where I am without the love and support of my PLA team, my family, and my friends. I look forward to learning from a trailblazer such as Pam Lewis and I hope someday to make my mark on the industry and its members just as she has.”
