About the DEA Educational Foundation

The DEA Educational Foundation (DEAEF) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a goal to educate the public on the costs and consequences of illegal drugs in society. The foundation supports the DEA through outreach, advocacy, and educational programs.

With youth mentorship programs like the Youth Dance Program, the DEAEF provides free after school activities to promote fun, healthy, and expressive art forms in over fifty cities. Additional activities include art, baseball, martial arts, soccer, basketball, lacrosse and more. Traveling museum exhibits create interactive experiences for students, teachers, and parents to learn about the costs and consequences of illegal drug use. The foundation has been a proud sponsor of Operation Prevention, conducts special educational seminars around the country, and has begun work on a parent and high school speaker series to bring education about drug abuse to families and youth. The foundation was a national partner of the DEA 360 Strategy which was designed to break the cycle of drug trafficking, drug violence, and opioid abuse in some of the most at-risk cities in our country. Most recently the foundation became a provider of youth engagement programs for DEA’s Operation Engage which focuses on regional drug threats and data to identify areas of greatest need for evidence-informed substance use prevention and community outreach efforts to make a true and measurable difference.

The foundation works to maintain critical community service and search for new and innovative ways to educate families, communities, and most importantly children across our country on the dangers of drug abuse.

The DEAEF completes its mission and goals surrounding drug prevention education and alternatives through contributions, both large and small. Through its many programs and seminars, the DEAEF aims to encourage young people to avoid the consequences of drug abuse and misuse.
