Chicago Songstress Lia Caton Keeps Her Eyes On Those Needing Hope The Most With Her New Single

Lia will be appearing tonight at C-U at Home’s One Winter Night Benefit for the Homeless

Lia Caton, the artist that Newsbreak said was “always honest and irresistibly relatable”, premiered her first release for 2022 with the hopeful I Keep My Eyes on You hitting Amazon, Apple Music, Pandora, Spotify and all online streaming and purchase platforms today.

Aligning with the song’s release, Lia will be giving back to the community tonight by making a return appearance at C-U at Home’s One Winter Night event in Champaign, IL, raising funds and awareness for the homeless community.

“This song is about how we all go through hard times in life and spend some time in ‘the valley,'” says Lia. “For me, it’s my faith in God and my family that helps to pull me through. I keep my eyes focused on them and what is important to bring me peace.”

I Keep My Eyes on You is the fourth preview track from her forthcoming album coming later this year. 2022 will also serve as her fourth appearance at One Winter Night, which puts those suffering from homelessness at the forefront of the community in an event that allows patrons and supporters to take a 12-hour trip through a night on the streets in winter. The cause hits home for Lia because, as a child, she saw her father struggle with homelessness and addiction.

“I’m so honored and excited to be a part of this amazing event. My first time was as a box dweller and speaker at the event in the winter of 2019. I shared the story of my father Artie’s struggle with addiction and homelessness to offer hope to those still struggling and to the fellow box dwellers. While he was homeless, with the help of volunteers and the medical community, he went on to become sober for 15 years and assisted others with their journey to sobriety. I can tell you the evening I spent sleeping in the box was life changing. It was very cold out. No one should have to live that way. I say to anyone thinking about being a box dweller or a volunteer that you will come out of the experience a different person. I’ve met so many wonderful people through this event. I look forward to sharing songs and offering encouragement to all of the volunteers and to our friends without an address that will be present.”

Lia reached a monumental milestone in her career in the fall of 2021 when she released her previous single Hell or High Water. The single would find itself profiled on the official Academy of Country Music’s New Music Friday Playlist alongside Reba McEntire, Miranda Lambert, and Brandi Carlile. Guitar Girl Magazine spotlighted her music stating that “Lia shares both so vulnerable and intimately in every lyric.” WMGQ-FM’s Debbie Mazella wrapped up Lia’s personality and music with two simple words: “fun and feisty.”

About Lia Caton

Lia Caton is a tenacious country artist and songwriter hailing from Naperville, IL outside of Chicago. Her kind heart and strong spirit are wildly apparent in each of her projects as she infuses her mission to heal, inspire, and advocate for causes close to home. As a child, Lia witnessed her father struggle with addiction and homelessness. Overcoming childhood adversity, this soulful songwriter moved from a suburb of Boston to the “Windy City” to pursue a career in music. Inspired by the sultry vocal tones of Bonnie Raitt and Wynonna Judd, Caton’s signature sound is raw and recognizably intimate as she narrates her own human experience through original songs. This activist released her debut single Spare Some Time in 2020, proving that connecting with and valuing people of all walks of life provides a sense of community that was missing during quarantine. Beyond her homeless and child services outreach, Lia also greatly values the work of those in the rescue pet community. She has experienced the joy a rescue pet can bring to a family firsthand with the rescue dogs and cat that are members of the Caton household. Beyond the stage, this mother and wife enjoys the beauty and growth that one can discover in nature on horse trails and ski slopes. This fall, she’ll be premiering her next release Hell or High Water, a co-write with Benji Harris (previous hits in the CMT Top 20 countdown) with production by Sean Giovanni (John Legend, Tim McGraw, Big & Rich).
