CELEBRATED WRITER/ARTIST TONY STAMPLEY DELIVERS A UNIFYING PERSPECTIVE WITH HIS NEW SINGLE COLORBLIND
Tony Stampley’s new single Colorblind, the second track from his forthcoming album, Heal the World, was released today on Amazon, Apple Music, iTunes & Spotify. Co-written with longtime friend, Bonnie Swayze, Colorblind tells the story of how beautiful life could be if we all lived without judgement based on the color of one’s skin.
“I truly believe that a song can heal the world,” says Tony. “Colorblind was crafted for these trying times and is sorely needed. After the events that happened in Ferguson, my co-writer and friend, Bonnie Swayze, came to me with the idea for Colorblind. After the latest events that have happened with George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and Ahmaud Arbery, we both felt it was time to put out the song.”
Tony, the son of the legendary Joe Stampley, has been penning powerful songs and hits for artists like Billy Currington, Hank Williams, Jr, George Jones, Moe Bandy, Randy Travis, Travis Tritt, John Anderson, Joe Stampley, Confederate Railroad and Mark Chesnutt. “Stampley rocks hard and with country edge, but when he steps out and shows a softer side, he actually makes his case a little better.” says Billboard. “Stampley can tug at the heartstrings as well as rock,” wrote the Country Standard Time. “This singer truly believes in the power of a song and how it can heal the world,” said Matt Bjorke at Roughstock.com.

About Tony Stampley
Tony, a Louisiana native, first moved to Music City in the early 1980’s at the age of 17, and fortunately saw near immediate success when three of the first five songs he wrote in Nashville were cut by Hank Williams, Jr. As the son of country music legend Joe Stampley, Tony was raised with an appreciation of music at the forefront of his life. At the age of 17, Tony went on the road with his father’s band and crew and occasionally would even join him on stage to sing the Moe Bandy parts in the Moe and Joe songs.
In 2002, DreamWorks Records, Nashville, signed Tony and released his first solo CD, titled Rebelution. Simultaneously, his writing career continued to blossom as Tony’s songs were getting cut by artists such as Billy Currington, Hank Williams, Jr, George Jones, Moe Bandy, Randy Travis, Travis Tritt, John Anderson, Joe Stampley, Confederate Railroad and Mark Chesnutt. His 2017 single, Daily Bread, reminded the music industry of his talents and landed him inside the Top #10 on the Christian Voice Country chart and was selected by Robert Oermann for “Disc of the Day” in Music Row Magazine.
Tony’s second release from his forthcoming album Heal The World, is the single Colorblind, a song he co-wrote with Bonnie Swayze. This project embodies Tony’s goal to use the influential impact that songs can have on individuals and society and hopefully bring about a positive shift in our outlook and behavior.
