WILLIE MACK AND MERIDIAN SET TO TAKE
MUSIC LOVERS BY STORM
(Nashville, Tenn.) –
Country music newcomer Willie Mack, who has flown up the Texas Music
Chart, and the critically acclaimed female duo Meridian are set to perform
at Nashville’s Douglas Corner on Friday, December 3 and Friday, December
10 at 6:00 pm.
After jumping 30 spots on the
chart in the first week his single was released, he was asked by Wemus
Entertainment to join President Bush’s campaign trail. If you followed any
of President Bush’s last 30 campaign rallies, you may recognize Willie’s
single “We All Can’t Be From Texas,” because President Bush walked out to
the song at several of the rallies.
Willie Mack’s single “We All
Can’t Be From Texas” off his debut album, Average Guy, is currently
at #12 on the Texas Music Chart and is rapidly gaining spins. Radio
stations all over Texas agree this guy is great!
JB Cloud, PD for KBCT,
Abilene, Texas, said, “Here’s a Nanna Nanna Boo Boo to the rest of the
country! Play the song and put the ‘Mack Down’ on them!”
The harmonious vocal duo
Meridian will open for Willie Mack. The women of Meridian, MC Potts and
Lona Heins, have a seamless vocal braiding that mirrors the raw, emotive
power of Emmy Lou Harris.
Potts has opened for the likes
of Diamond Rio, The Doobie Brothers, Patty Loveless, and LeAnn Womack,
among many others. She has also performed on the Grand Ole Opry, The
Midnight Jamboree, Prime Time Country, and of course, Fan Fair. Heins, who
is a former backup singer for Pam Tillis, is a seasoned studio harmony
vocalist. Her vocals are featured on Tillis’ song “It’s All Relative,”
alongside Dolly Parton and Emmy Lou Harris.
Meridian has received nothing
but praise by critics and many say their harmonies would make you swear
they’re sisters. Debbie Green of BGM Network said, “What literally comes
to mind is ‘Wow!”’
If the rest of the country is
any indication, this show is sure to be a hit! Don’t miss out on this
truly extraordinary event.
