PLA Media Adds The Young Fables As They Prep The Release Of Their “Old Songs” Project

Old Songs Produced by Grammy Award-Winning Producer Mitch Dane.

PLA Media is proud to announce the addition of emerging country and Americana duo The Young Fables to their award-winning roster. The Hope Tree Entertainment-managed duo will be releasing their sophomore project Old Songs this spring.

“I first heard the duo on Ty, Kelly and Chuck when they were tackling the fan-favorite, topical songwriting segment the Ten Minute Tune,” says PLA Media Executive Director Mark Logsdon. “Their voices were so distinctive and if they could pen creative tunes that quickly, I was excited to see what they did with their original music. You will not be disappointed. I can’t wait to work with them on the release of Old Songs.”

The release date for the Grammy Award-winning Mitch Dane (Jars of Clay, Brandon Heath) produced Old Songs album will be announced soon. Stay updated on The Young Fables at the following:

About The Young Fables
The Young Fables (TYF) are a promising modern traditional country duo comprised of three-time American Idol vet Laurel Wright and accomplished guitarist and vocalist Wesley Lunsford. The act hails from Maryville, TN and has already collected impressive accolades including the Grand Prize at the Texaco Country Showdown which landed Laurel on the Ryman Auditorium stage at age 16. Fast forward five years to 2017, TYF spent the year engaging and organically expanding their grassroots following while on the road supporting their debut release Two. They’ve shared the stage with such notable acts as Lauren Alaina, Josh Turner, Sara Evans, Chris Janson, Randy Houser, The Band Perry and Chris Lane.

Capturing the ears and attention of two of the industry’s most revered names, Keith Urban said they “had me immediately” and Big Machine CEO Scott Borchetta praised “a flawless vocal.” Securing a win at the Nashville finals of the NASH FM nationwide NASH NEXT competition, the radio giant embraced the duo as an America’s Morning Show Ty, Kelly and Chuck favorite, regularly highlighting The Young Fables’ songwriting strength in the Ten Minute Tune segment. This year, TYF have wrapped recording on their sophomore album titled Old Songs with the Grammy Award-winning producer Mitch Dane (Jars of Clay, Brandon Heath). These ten songs establish The Young Fables’ sonic home in the Country/Americana community as a modern proclaimer and preservationist of classic country’s storytelling roots.
