PLA Media Adds Contemporary Country Vocalist, NASCAR Driver and Author, Tyler Williams, To Its Award-Winning Roster

Tyler’s Lead Single Good For Me Premieres Today

PLA Media is proud to announce the addition of NASCAR All-American, VRA and USAC Series Driver and published author Tyler Williams to its roster as he launches his contemporary country career with the lead single Good For Me. This Georgia-reared singer/songwriter co-penned this tune recalling a failed-relationship that just took too many wrong turns and no matter how much he tried, it wasn’t going to happen.

“Sometimes you want it work out so bad, but it just doesn’t no matter how hard you try,” recalls Tyler. “You look over one day and you notice the passenger seat is empty and all of the memories just flood in. My songs tend to come from my personal life and that’s exactly what I was feeling when we went in to write this one. The constant traveling between tracks can take its toll on a relationship.”

Good For Me is available at all online retailers today and also serves as the first preview track from his sophomore album projected for release in early 2018. While Tyler may be a new face to the country scene, racing fans have seen him on tracks capturing victory lane in the NASCAR All-American, VRA and USAC Series. This weekend, fans can find him ripping through the Ventura Raceway at the VRA Sprint Car Race on Saturday, October 21.

“The second I heard Tyler, I knew he had that something that you just simply can’t create,” says PLA Media’s Mark Logsdon. “His voice immediately captures your attention and then once we discovered his accomplishments as a driver and author, we knew we wanted to be a part of his music row ‘pit-crew.’ We are excited to share his new project with his fans and assist him as he paves his path in the country music arena.”

About Tyler Williams
This Stone Mountain, GA native was reared in a household with parents that spun the hits of Marvin Gaye and Michael W. Smith while Tyler and his older brother were discovering the hit makers of the 90s – Alan Jackson, George Strait, Boyz II Men and Mariah Carey. Recognizing early on that he wanted a career in entertainment, he would capture a role in “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” and performed for two years at the Fox Theater in Atlanta at ages 11 and 12.

However, a failed performance at age 13 in a rock band caused him to change directions. Tyler would then spend his summers with his uncles in the auto shop learning the mechanics behind combustion engines and began his path to the NASCAR late model and sprint car racing series. After nearly a decade of milestones that would find him capturing his first victory lane among 15 years veterans during his fourth year as a driver and even finishing in the #2 ranking position in points in his series, he decided to finally overcome his fear of the stage and redirected his focus to music.

This journey would spawn a debut ep Believe Again and the inspirational and motivational look at the lessons he’s learned in the racing and now music community with his book I Have a Voice. Continuing to hone his craft while he furthers his racing career, Tyler is debuting preview singles from his sophomore release this fall with the first being Good For Me, a song co-penned by Tyler and produced by Jonathan Roye (Kelsea Ballerini, Hunter Hayes & Kid Rock). Good For Me is available on iTunes, Spotify and all major online retailers Friday, October 20.
