Internship Opportunities

We are currently looking for motivated interns with a sincere interest in public relations, journalism, communications, marketing, graphic design, website design and/or recording industry. The energy and motivation of the staff and intern team is essential to PLA Media’s success.

 

 

Job Description/Responsibilities:

This internship position is responsible for helping with special event coordination such as festivals, book signings, music showcases and receptions. The intern will work directly with the publicists to help develop campaigns for local and regional markets, write and distribute press releases as needed, contribute creative design and writing for electronic newsletter and company website, develop award entries, help conduct PR/Marketing research, assist with press kit creation and help with any marketing materials.

 

 

Skills Needed:

·         Professional writing classes must be completed in order to write and distribute a press release.

·         Willingness to help with a variety of programs and tasks.

·         Well organized and self-motivated.

·         Willingness to collaborate with staff.

·         College juniors, seniors, or graduates are welcome to apply.

·         General knowledge of the following programs and sites: Facebook, Twitter, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Picture Editor, Microsoft Front Page and Adobe Photoshop.

 

 

Timeframe for Internship:

We are accepting resumes for all intern positions for Fall 2013 semesters. The time frame depends on how many credit hours you plan on receiving.
