Ben Rue, the emerging country singer who broke through on the Billboard Country Airplay Chart with his 14 Week Top 60 debut single, has listeners streaming and day dreaming Back to the Nights of carefree, rural good times with his new album premiering via online retailers on May 19. Fans don’t have to wait to hear two tracks from the record as the coy lead single Making Out and an intimate nocturnal ballad Moon Walk are available instantly with every pre-order purchase.

“I know the fans been waiting a few years for a follow up project, but I really wanted to make sure that I had the right songs – a good balance of fun, storytelling and message songs that connect with me,” says Ben. “I had such a great time writing and selecting songs for this album. I hope they enjoy listening to it as much I enjoyed making it.”

This Silverton, Ore. grass seed farm reared artist announced the project earlier this week on the NASH FM morning show “Ty, Kelly and Chuck” when he joined the show for their popular “10 Minute Tune” segment.

“You have to absolutely love those folks,” says Ben. “If you aren’t starting your day tuning in to that show, then you are missing so many laughs. It’s not every day that you get asked to write a song about a Unicorn drink at Starbucks.”

To celebrate the launch of the pre-sale, Ben stopped by Seacrest Studios to premiere the new music with the patients and staff at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. He played the patient submitted game of “like or dislike” with the hosts Mamie Shepherd and Sierra and shared his own daily regimen that he goes through since he was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 14.
